This is my latest painting, finished 11/19/13 I loved the composition that the telephone wires created. I also was fascinated with the numerous birds that were perched on every surface. The original is 11×16, making each bird aprox 1/2″ but I attempted to make each one individual and pack on as much detail as I could.

“Warts and All”

This is my second sculpture/painting. “Warts and All” (31×27″) is similar to “Frog Eye” but with the 3-D element of “Charming” I used Magi-sculpt and sand to create the textures and the dome shape of the eye. Then I used metallic paint on the body and a combination of metallic paint and gold-leaf on the eye. A layer of high gloss acrylic gel medium on the eye was my final touch.

This is a colored pencil drawing of a water fountain at the state fairgrounds in Missouri. I was fascinated and challenged by the detail and texture of the rock vrs. chrome.

Can you figure out what this picture is of? That’s half the fun!

This is a painting of the underside of an Oliver tractor. The sediment jar (which is full of diesel fuel) is back- lit with the sun and round bales sit in the background. (Prints available)
